New Life Rule (NLR)
(Medium 3-4 SP)
The New Life Rule (NLR) governs what a player may or may not remember following incapacitation or death. It ensures fairness, realism, and immersion in all roleplay scenarios.
1. Side-Lying State (Stabilized by EMS)
If a player is downed and placed on their side before being revived by EMS, they are considered to have sustained minor trauma.
In this case, the player is allowed to remember everything that occurred leading up to and during their downing.
They may use this information in ongoing roleplay, including names, faces, and full situational details.
Players may not initiate any immediate revenge upon their attacker once saved by EMS.
2. Flatbacked State (Severe Trauma, Revived by EMS)
If a player is downed and remains flat on their back until revived by EMS, they are considered to have sustained severe trauma.
In this state, the player experiences a foggy or hazy memory of the incident.
They may recall general impressions only, such as:
Voice types heard during the event (British Male, American Female etc.)
A vague recollection of a face
Clothing colours or styles
They may not remember precise details, such as exact names, vehicle plates, specific weapons, or exact conversations.
3. Drowning or Respawning (Fatal Trauma)
If a player drowns or chooses to respawn instead of waiting for EMS, this is treated as a permanent death for that situation.
The player remembers nothing of the events leading up to their incapacitation.
They may not use any information related to the incident in future roleplay.
The only way players remember is if someone else tells them.
The player can't remember anything 15 minutes prior to the situation.
Extras
Players may not return to the scene of the ongoing situation after being revived.
Players may also have the police involved in the roleplay, should you choose to inform them.
DO NOT RESPAWN IF YOU ARE IN AN ACTIVE SCENE.
