Common Roleplay Terminology

  • OOC: Out of Character. Speaking in an IRL context

  • Vigilante RP: You cannot take “Crime Fighting” into your own hands, you aren’t Superman.

  • Power Gaming: Using unreasonable mechanics within the game to your advantage

  • Cop Baiting: Intentionally pushing LEO’s into any form of RP

  • Fear RP: You must value your life and RP any value of your life as if it’s in real life.

  • Valuing Of Life: Similar to Fear RP. You should act in a way that values your life and welfare.

  • Loot Boxing: Looting excessive amounts of belongings which are not related to the situation

  • Low Quality RP: Roleplay which is not to the standard of the server to allow people to interact with a person or situation in the City

  • Fail RP: A more general term when a player does something which is unrealistic in real life.

  • Hitman RP: Engaging in transaction of money, goods etc. in exchange to harm another player.

  • RDM: Random Deathmatch. Attempting to kill someone with a little to no Roleplay, initiation/reason

  • Griefing: Purposely ruining the RP experience for other players

  • VDM: Vehicle Deathmatch. Using a vehicle as a weapon in an attempt to harm another player with little to no RP

  • NLR: New Life Rule. You can't remember any details 30 minutes prior to dying for the purpose of seeking revenge on the person that killed you.

  • GTA Driving: Driving on unreasonable terrains/taking jumps i.e taking a Zentorno up Mount Chilliad.

  • Metagaming: Using information obtained outside of your character to benefit your RP / Characters knowledge, where they wouldn’t have any other information
